I live in Washington State and am scheduled to appear at a deposition next week. I haven’t gotten a chance to talk with my lawyer yet about time limits for these types of things. I am six months pregnant and cannot sit for long periods without getting up and moving around. I’ve heard that certain states have limits on how long you have to be there. Does anyone know about Washington State? Thank you!
file a motion describing your physical condition and ask that the deposition be a telephonic deposition. Cite either washington civil case law or federal case law. This is listed in the civil rules somewhere around rule 25 through 38 (I’m sick so my mind isn’t sharp). judge may allow telephonic deposition or in the alternative you can move to extend the time for the desposition via rule 6, civil rule
