    @Lauraelizabeth424 It all depends on the case, so, no there isn’t a simple formula that I would recommend. Our knowledge comes from years of negotiations and knowing what insurance companies should offer before trial AND what juries award after trial. That is the important skill and knowledge that comes with hiring a skilled trial attorney.

    Mr. Jurewitz is right. Look, you may not need to actually HIRE an attorney before signing those papers the insurance company sends you but you should at least have the papers reviewed. Yes, you might have to pay for the review but its well worth it. The worst thing that you could do is to sign the release papers today and find out in a months that you need surgery/future care. You will not be able to go back to the insurance company for more money at that point.
