    HIPAA 101 – HIPAA …
    HIPAA 101 – HIPAA only pertains to healthcare entities. Legal/Attorney Offices are not considered covered entities under the auspices of HIPAA. Therefore, there’s no violation of HIPAA on the grounds of legal offices releasing “Protected Health Information” to third parties.
