And if so, how can you find out?
Yes. I have an umbrella liability policy for $1 million, which takes effect only after my home and/or auto liability policy limits have been exhausted. Best part is that it’s cheap, only about $300 per year. At my age and with my net worth, I don’t want to start over.

Yes, most individuals have a certain amount under there homeowners policy. I have a $2,000,000 umbrella policy that is specifically for worst case issues and would protect me for general liability and excess amounts over what my normal homeowners or auto insurance covers.
Talk to your insurance agent.
