Today i had a letter from a solicitors and county court saying that a accident i had 2 years ago the other driver is now putting in a personal injury claim against me but at the time of the accident i was with my old insurance company now i am with different company so would my old insurance company still be liable for this claim as i was insured with them at the time of the accident?
Yes, whoever you were insured with at the time will be responsible for all claims arising from that claim.
You need to send all correspondence to them to sort out.

I slipped & fell at a restaurant & broke my upper arm, shoulder & 3 ribs. How much settlement can I expect from the personal injury case? Does the restaurant’s insurance pay this?
All depends how you present your case to the judge or how much the insurance company wants to settle for. If they were at fault then you should expect medical bills to be paid, and wages you lost while out of work.

BC Personal Injury Claims Lawyer Erik Magraken discussing the proper time to settle a claim.
Before settling a claim it’s value needs to be known. For this to occur a claimant’s injuries either need to be recovered or a confident prognosis for what the future holds needs to exist. Once the claim can be valued settlement can be considered or, if necessary, the claim can be prepared for trial.
